PACIFIC PALMS SLSC HISTORY

 

The club was founded in 1986 and although still relatively young has gained a reputation for success in competition, sportsmanship and friendship and members pride themselves on their strong life saving ideals. The modern clubhouse offers fantastic views of the beach and beyond as well as covering the practical and social needs of its members. It has become popular with locals and visitors as a venue for weddings and other functions.

Staged extensions to improve the facilities for members and the community are complete and the club now has a lift and disabled toilet and shower facilities; new ladies and gents toilet and shower facilities; a new commercial kitchen; meeting room and a well equipped gym.

 

Many of our members have competed successfully at local, national and international carnivals. Several members have won gold, silver and bronze medals at the World Surf Life Saving Championships.
